The gigantic “Bookie Cookies” will return for a 29th time at this year’s Memorial Day Parade, May 29.  Its a fun fundraiser for our community library. This year, we have two fantastic partners: Tonawanda School students and parents will help bag and sell the cookies; and our long-standing community partner, Great Harvest Bread Company, will collect the donated dough and let us use professional kitchens and their commercial ovens.

Here’s how you can help:

Make one or more batches of “Bookie Cookie dough.”  Take the sealed Ziploc bags of dough to Great Harvest Bakery Company between May 24 – Mary 26 during its bakery hours, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Bake and bag the “Bookie Cookies” at Great Harvest Bread Company on Saturday, May 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Sell “Bookie Cookies” along the parade route on  May 29. Sales start at 9:30 a.m. (before the parade begins) and continue until the cookies are gone.

Be a Table Captain along the parade route. Set up by 8:30 a.m.

Enjoy a gigantic cookie or two.
